Store Manager

About the Role

Responsible for managing store operations, including staffing, training, merchandising, inventory control, and customer service to ensure smooth daily functioning and sales growth.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate employees, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
• Supervise store opening and closing, promote safety, security, and team communication.
• Analyze sales and expense data to identify trends, control costs, and maximize profitability.
• Manage inventory levels through ordering, stock presentation, and cycle counts.
• Maintain merchandise presentation, signage, and store cleanliness for an optimal shopping experience.
• Uphold financial integrity with cash handling, cashier accountability, and security procedures.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and foster a safe, organized environment.
• Ensure compliance with policies, complete documentation accurately, and support staff development.

Requirements

• Ability to interpret procedures, perform mathematical calculations, and handle cash management.
• Knowledge of inventory, merchandising, safety protocols, and legal employment practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent; management experience in retail.
• Bi-lingual skills may be advantageous at some locations.

Working Conditions

• Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 40-55 pounds.
• Use of equipment like scanners, pricing guns, and carts.
• Occasional outdoor exposure and driving for store-related tasks.
• Fast-paced environment with moderate noise level.
