Store Manager

About the Role

Managers In Training will learn how to successfully manage the day-to-day responsibilities of running a Turkey Hill convenience store location. This role supports the Store Manager and other team members in delivering an exceptional guest shopping experience. During training, you’ll work alongside Training Managers and Supervising Managers across various shifts to gain insight into our company, retail team, vendors, and guests. After training, you’ll join our bench leadership team, filling in during absences until assigned to your own store.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a warm welcome and a smile to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Assist the Store Manager in building and developing a strong store team through training, scheduling, and coaching.
• Set clear and measurable goals, hold self and others accountable, and communicate frequently and effectively.
• Monitor product levels on the sales floor, rotate stock, and ensure 100% in-stock availability for guests.
• Maintain overall store appearance and cleanliness, including the coffee station, food service area, and bathrooms.
• Operate the cash register efficiently.
• In locations with hot food, oversee quality control, merchandising, safety programs, and food service guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager or District Manager.
• Work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts, as stores may be open 24 hours.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of retail or food service experience; leadership experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Comfortable interacting with guests and team members in a high-energy environment.
• Ability to multitask and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Team-oriented with a willingness to support others.
• Basic computer skills.
• ServSafe/Food Safety certification is a plus but not mandatory.

Schedule

This is a full-time position requiring up to 45 hours per week (40 regular hours + 5 hours overtime). Shifts include days, nights, weekends, and holidays, as Turkey Hill locations may operate 24 hours.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per day.
• Capable of reaching overhead, bending, squatting, twisting, and gripping.
• Ability to work in cooler environments (cold temperatures).
• Moderate noise levels in the work environment.
• Specialized attire required in food establishments (e.g., hats, visors, gloves provided).

Additional Information

Travel requirement: 5%. Ability to deliver deposits to the bank independently (where applicable) and have your own vehicle.
