About the role
This position is responsible for engagement in selling merchandise. Travel will be required to other locations for training, physical inventory, and coverage as needed.
Responsibilities
- Achieve sales and gross profit results for the store as measured by the budget.
- Prepare work schedules and supervise employees engaged in sales work, taking inventories, reconciling cash with sales receipts, and keeping operating records.
- Oversee the implementation of pricing policies on merchandise to ensure profitability of store operations.
- Merchandise products and maintain store cleanliness, proper image, and planned sales promotion activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Requirements
- At least one year of experience in retail store management.
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college preferred.
- Computer literate with strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays as demanded by the department.
Pay
Salary of $60,000 to $70,000 with annual bonus potential depending on competency, experience, qualifications, and skills.
