About the role
Responsible for all aspects of the store's operations. Leads the entire operation to ensure Company standards and best practices are consistently met. Staffs, trains, and develops the leadership team to deliver desired sales and profit results while maintaining a friendly, easy-to-shop environment. Recruits, trains, and develops associates, manages stockroom, front-end, and sales floor operations, and controls expenses through best practices and productivity.
Responsibilities
- Leads all Company best practices and maximizes productivity by minimizing steps and touches.
- Analyzes store reports to evaluate controllable expenses and overall performance; addresses variances with action plans.
- Ensures proper scheduling of associates to meet business objectives and accepts special assignments as directed.
- Manages payroll administration, including punch edits, scheduling compliance, payroll transmission, and reporting.
- Recruits, hires, trains, and develops Assistant Managers, Area Supervisors, and associates to reduce turnover.
- Utilizes retention tools such as incentive programs, recognition, contests, and training.
- Ensures required training courses are completed timely and addresses personnel/performance issues, including coaching and discipline.
- Manages associate relations and ensures compliance with personnel policies, state/local/federal regulations.
- Controls expenses, particularly payroll, to stay within budget and adjusts for business trends.
- Maintains a safe and secure environment, ensuring associates understand emergency procedures.
- Demonstrates courtesy, friendliness, and professionalism; executes customer service and merchandise presentation programs.
- Supervises and coaches associates in providing efficient service at registers, customer service desk, fitting rooms, and sales floor.
- Maintains professional appearance and enforces company dress code; ensures a clean, neat, and easy-to-shop environment.
- Ensures recovery, sizing, and markdowns are completed to company standards; manages merchandise processing to sales floor within expected timeframes.
- Trains associates on loss prevention programs to achieve shortage goals; safeguards confidential information and merchandise.
- Leads the annual inventory process, including preparation and execution of inventory guidelines.
- Monitors mark-out-of-stock policy administration.
Requirements
- Five or more years of store management experience in a retail environment.
- High level of customer service and ability to lead, manage, motivate, and communicate positively with associates.
- Ability to train, coach, and develop associates at all levels; organize and prioritize tasks to achieve goals.
- Fluency in English; ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to use store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PCs.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store for up to 100% of working time.
- Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop regularly.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift more than 25 lbs occasionally.
- Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other supplies.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations used in retail environments.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Direct supervision of Assistant Store Manager, Area Supervisors, and all retail associates.
Pay
The base salary range for this role is $80,170 - $102,578, dependent on experience, skills, qualifications, education, certifications, seniority, and location.
