Store Manager

About the role

Responsible for managing store operations, including staffing, training, inventory, merchandising, and customer service. Ensures the store is properly staffed, maintains inventory accuracy, and presents merchandise according to company standards.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate employees; handle performance and conduct issues.
• Oversee daily store opening and closing; ensure safety and security policies are followed.
• Analyze sales, profitability, and expenses; identify trends and control costs.
• Manage inventory levels through ordering, stock staging, and cycle counts.
• Maintain merchandise presentation, pricing, and signage.
• Uphold cash handling, security, and cash control procedures.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and foster a safe, clean shopping environment.

Requirements

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of inventory management, merchandising, and cash procedures.
• Ability to interpret documents, perform calculations, and use POS systems.
• Management experience in retail preferred; high school diploma or equivalent recommended.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds frequently and occasional climbing or outside exposure.
