Store Manager

About the Role

Responsible for managing store operations, including staffing, training, inventory control, merchandising, and customer service. Ensures effective opening and closing, maintains store cleanliness and safety, and monitors financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, evaluate, and retain employees in compliance with laws and policies.
• Oversee daily store functions, including staffing, opening/closing, and safety protocols.
• Analyze operating statements to identify trends, control expenses, and improve profitability.
• Manage inventory levels through ordering, stock presentation, and cycle counts.
• Ensure merchandise presentation aligns with company standards, including signage and pricing.
• Maintain accurate inventory, control damages, and ensure cashier accountability.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and foster a safe shopping environment.
• Ensure store compliance with policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Complete necessary documentation and support staff development.

Requirements

• Ability to interpret operational documents, perform math calculations, and handle cash procedures.
• Knowledge of inventory management, merchandising, and safety practices.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Problem-solving abilities and leadership qualities.
• Bilingual skills may be preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Management experience in retail is advantageous.

Physical & Working Conditions

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 40-55 pounds.
• Use of store equipment and occasional ladder climbing.
• Fast-paced environment with exposure to outside weather conditions.
