PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping across store, warehouse, equipment, vehicles, and grounds
- Provide a clean, safe environment that reflects a positive company image
- Ensure all equipment is operational
- Sales Management:
- Optimize store layout and merchandising to maximize sales and customer flow
- Align displays with seasonal needs, promotions, and advertising
- Drive traffic through in-store programs and company promotions
- Provide ongoing sales training and product knowledge to team members
- Monitor competitors and adjust pricing strategies as needed
- Introduce and evaluate new products
- Inventory Management:
- Order products in accordance with company policies
- Manage inventory levels to support turnover and profitability
- Adjust product mix based on performance and demand
- Maintain pricing and margins aligned with supplier changes
- Oversee claims for damaged or returned goods
- Accounting Management:
- Approve invoices and ensure accuracy of goods received
- Maintain control of daily cash and deposits
- Support store-level financial accountability
- Associate’s degree with 5 years of retail experience (including 3 years in a supervisory role), or Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of retail management experience
- Proven track record leading and developing small retail teams
- Agriculture background with management experience and strong merchandising skills preferred
- Working knowledge of lawn & garden, agriculture, and pet/livestock products
- Positive, hands-on leadership style with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Strong customer focus with professionalism and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to multitask and operate in a fast-paced environment
