About the role
We are seeking a Store Manager who can lead our team in achieving sales targets, recruiting, developing, and managing their performance. The ideal candidate will be a retail maverick, a believer in developing talent, and a champion of excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the store achieves its sales plan and/or comp sales goals
- Recruit, develop, and retain a collaborative and passionate team
- Create buzz and customer engagement through social media, store web applications, and clienteling
- Operate a sound business with a balance of organizational structure, delegation, and customer-first selling practices
- Communicate with retail leadership and HQ partners on trends and customer feedback
- Run sales reports and use data to guide strategy towards hitting sales targets
- Maintain a watchful eye on shrink/loss prevention, payroll hours, schedules, and external factors affecting business
- Mentor, recognize, and provide feedback to build a bench of equally talented staff
- Merchandise the store compellingly using planograms and launch promotions on time
- Adapt to new technologies, communicate company policies, and control supply ownership
Requirements
- At least 1-2 years of retail store management experience
- Skills in communication, recruiting, and operations (payroll, reporting, scheduling, merchandising)
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent; a degree is preferred
- Ability to roll with the punches in a fast-changing retail environment
- An open mind and curiosity about pop culture fandoms and music trends
