Store Manager

About the role

As a Store Manager at GNC, you will lead, coach, and support your team to provide exceptional service and guidance to customers. You’ll oversee daily operations including business performance, product management, and ensuring your team has the tools to succeed. This role involves representing the GNC brand through expert product knowledge and promoting the “Live Well” message to customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support the store team to deliver outstanding customer service and guidance.
• Oversee daily store operations including business performance, product management, and team tools for success.
• Ensure products are merchandised to GNC standards while keeping them easy to see and purchase.
• Support the total shopping experience including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and customer relationships that drive sales and repeat business (e.g., MYGNC Rewards).
• Achieve and exceed personal sales and productivity goals while helping sales associates realize their sales potential.
• Build strong teams, demonstrate leadership, and perform managerial tasks such as providing ongoing performance feedback, recruiting, hiring, and performance management.
• Open, close, and operate the retail facility including cash handling, inventory counts, and deposits according to GNC procedures.
• Attend community fairs, conferences, meetings, and other public gatherings to promote the organization’s mission and initiatives.

Environmental Factors & Working Schedule

• Ability to stand or walk for up to eight hours a day.
• Frequent reaching, bending, and twisting below the waist and above the shoulders.
• Frequently required to use repetitive hand-to-finger motions and reach with hands and arms.
• Frequently lift up to twenty pounds; occasionally lift up to forty pounds; push/pull up to twenty pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders, reach, and bend.
• Work in temperatures ranging from 50–85°F, especially in stock room areas.
• Use a computer up to 60% of the day.
• Work five days per week, forty hours per week, with the following location-specific expectations:
  • Managers of mall and strip center stores must work at least two nights per week until closing, one weekend night, and one other night.
  • Strip center managers must also work a full shift on Saturdays.
  • Mall managers are expected to work peak business days including weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
  • Managers are expected to work a minimum of one full Sunday per month.
  • Managers of downtown stores must work during the lunch hour (11 am–2 pm) Monday through Friday and one night per week until closing if the store is open in the evening; downtown store managers are not required to work Saturdays.
  • Managers are expected to work all major U.S. holidays that the store is open.

Pay

Competitive hourly pay plus eligibility for performance-based incentive pay for eligible Distribution Center team members who consistently exceed productivity expectations while maintaining quality and safety standards.
