Store Manager

This is a full-time hourly supervisory position with the opportunity to earn additional income through GNC's Individual Sales Incentive Plan. Eligible team members who consistently exceed productivity expectations while maintaining quality and safety standards may earn performance-based incentive pay, creating the opportunity to significantly increase earnings.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support your team to provide exceptional service and guidance to customers.
• Oversee daily store operations, including business performance, product management, and ensuring your team has the tools to succeed.
• Represent the GNC brand by offering expert product knowledge and promoting the "Live Well" message.
• Ensure products are merchandised according to GNC standards while making them easy to see and purchase.
• Support the total shopping experience, including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and customer relationships (e.g., MYGNC Rewards).
• Achieve and exceed personal sales and productivity goals while helping sales associates realize their potential.
• Build strong teams, demonstrate leadership, and provide ongoing feedback to store associates regarding performance.
• Handle recruiting, hiring, and performance management.
• Open, close, and operate the retail facility, including cash handling, inventory counts, and deposits according to GNC procedures.
• Attend community fairs, conferences, meetings, and other public gatherings to promote the organization’s mission and initiatives.

Requirements

• Ability to stand or walk for up to eight hours a day.
• Frequent reaching, bending, and twisting—below the waist and above the shoulders.
• Frequent use of repetitive hand-to-finger motions and reaching with hands and arms.
• Frequently lift up to 20 pounds; occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
• Push/pull up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders, reach, and bend.
• Work in temperatures ranging from 50–85 degrees, especially in stock room areas.
• Use of a computer up to 60% of the time throughout the day.

Schedule

Store Managers are expected to work five (5) days / forty (40) hours per week and adhere to the following guidelines:

• Mall and strip center stores: Work at least two nights during the week until closing, one weekend night, and one other night.
• Strip center managers: Work a full shift on Saturdays.
• Mall managers: Work peak business days, including weekends (Saturday & Sunday).
• All managers: Work a minimum of one full Sunday per month and all major U.S. holidays that the store is open.
• Downtown stores: Work during the lunch hour (11 AM–2 PM) Monday through Friday. If the store is open in the evening, work one night per week until closing. Saturdays are not required.
