Store Manager

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Store Manager who embodies GNC's "Live Well" philosophy. In this full-time hourly supervisory position, you will lead, coach, and support your team to provide exceptional service and guidance to customers while overseeing daily store operations, business performance, and product management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach your team to deliver expert product knowledge and promote GNC’s "Live Well" message.
• Oversee daily store operations, including business performance, product management, and merchandising according to GNC standards.
• Ensure a seamless shopping experience, including visual and operational elements, sales initiatives, and customer relationships (e.g., MYGNC Rewards).
• Achieve and exceed personal sales and productivity goals while helping associates realize their sales potential.
• Build and manage strong teams, including recruiting, hiring, performance feedback, and ongoing development.
• Handle opening, closing, and operating the retail facility, including cash handling, inventory counts, and deposits.
• Attend community events, fairs, and public gatherings to promote GNC’s mission and initiatives.

Requirements

• Ability to stand or walk for up to eight hours a day.
• Frequent reaching, bending, and twisting (below waist and above shoulders).
• Repetitive hand-to-finger motions and reaching with hands and arms.
• Frequently lift up to 20 pounds; occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
• Push/pull up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders, reach, and bend.
• Work in temperatures ranging from 50–85 degrees, particularly in stock room areas.
• Use of a computer for up to 60% of the workday.

Schedule

• Store Managers work five days (40 hours) per week.
• Mall and strip center managers must work at least two nights until closing, one weekend night, and one additional night.
• Strip center managers must work a full shift on Saturdays.
• Mall managers must work peak business days, including weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
• All managers must work a minimum of one full Sunday per month.
• Downtown store managers must work during lunch hours (11 AM–2 PM, Monday–Friday) and one evening per week if the store is open late; Saturdays are not required.
• Managers must work all major U.S. holidays that the store is open.
