About the role

Join TJX Companies, a Fortune 100 off‑price retailer, as a Store Floor Care Associate. You will help maintain a clean and organized store environment across all areas, including the sales floor, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms. This position is located at 620 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY (TJ Maxx Store 0133).

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and organized store environment with a focus on floor care.
• Operate the scrubber and buffer, dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot‑clean glass and windows.
• Adhere to all operational, merchandise, and loss‑prevention standards.
• Cross‑train to work in multiple store areas to support business needs.
• Role‑model established customer‑experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support and embody a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Maintain all floor‑care cleanliness standards, including upkeep of the scrubber and buffer.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the entire store (sales floor, single queue, associate lounge, backroom, restrooms).
• Follow all health‑and‑safety policies, including refilling essential items in the lounge, restrooms, and front end.
• Provide coverage and support for front‑end needs as required.
• Uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day.
• Follow operational and loss‑prevention controls, including shrink reduction.
• Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
• Observe all labor laws, policies, and procedures, including meal and break period policies.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Pay

This position has a starting pay range of $17.00 to $17.50 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
