Job Description
Follows safe operating procedures
Maintain 7S standards
Performs TPM activities as required
Reviews Standard work, quality policies, processes, and operator instructions
Performs Quality checks as required on incoming items, and accurately record using Plexus
Identifies, contains, and generates Discrepancy Material Label / Report for any nonconforming material and forwards to the Material Review Board
Communicates with co-workers to discuss problems and concerns
Manages Stockroom inventory
Counts, sorts, or weighs incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoices
Examines stock to verify conformance to specification
Stores articles in bins, on floor, or on shelves, according to identifying information such as style, size, or type of material
Fills orders or issues from stock
Prepares periodic, special, or perpetual inventory of stock (cycle counts)
Requisitions articles to fill incoming orders
Compiles reports on use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, spoilage of or damage to stock, location charges, and refusal of shipments
Issues non-stock items to appropriate departments
Distributes stock among production workers, keeping records of material issued
Education & Required Skills
Required to obtain lift truck certification
Must be familiar with Microsoft Office applications and Plex business system
Must be able to work with minimal supervision
Must be able to drive a company vehicle
