Stockroom Aide

Position Overview

United Health Services (UHS) is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Stockroom Aide to support daily stockroom operations and ensure timely delivery of supplies to UHSH departments and all auxiliary clinics.

Responsibilities

• Maintain customer’s location par levels (JIT) by using electronic devices, handhelds/computers.
• Obtain a Stockroom picklist to pick the requested quantity of the inventory item and deliver to the department; check location of items for stockouts and notify the inventory clerk to reorder.
• Transport the incoming inventory items from the Receiving Dock to the Stockroom.
• Verify the item number and quantity received against the purchase order.
• Restock the items received and ensure the item is stored in the proper location.
• Handle emergency requests of stock items and the delivery upon request.
• Deliver all non-inventory items from the Receiving Dock to the requesting department.
• Count and record on worksheets when asked to implement a portion of the cycle count program.
• Notify the Inventory Clerk of stock items that are beyond the expiration date.
• Maintain the assigned stock areas (i.e., shelves, floor, empty cartons and pallets).
• Utilize the appropriate documentation for all shipments and proper packaging for items shipped.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write and perform arithmetic, such as: addition, subtraction, division and multiplication.
• Ability to operate all types of Material Handling equipment.
• Previous Stockroom experience preferred.
• Knowledgeable in inventories.

Pay

Compensation range per hour, depending on experience.
