Stocker - Smallwares

Non-exempt position reporting to the Smallwares Manager/Supervisor.

About the role

The Stocker in Smallwares ensures all products are packed out, stocked, and available to customers at all times. They maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while providing friendly and efficient customer service, including assisting customers with product selection, retrieval, and loading/unloading.

Responsibilities

• Stock and pack out product as directed by the Department Manager.
• Provide friendly, efficient, and professional customer service.
• Assist customers with loading, off-loading, and locating products.
• Perform shelf tag maintenance and assist with cycle counts.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Basic math skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to provide superior customer service.
• Familiarity with departmental products.
• Flexible work schedule; ability to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to remain standing or walking for up to 4 hours at a time.
• Commitment to company values and strong customer orientation.

Work Environment

• Ambient temperature is generally moderate.
• Work is performed standing or walking for extended periods (up to 4 hours without a break).
• Physical labor includes lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to safely climb and descend a step ladder (up to 15 steps) while carrying product.
• Posture tolerance required: reaching above shoulder level, twisting/turning head, bending/stooping, and kneeling/squatting.
• Exposure to industrial vehicles (forklifts, HiLo, electric pallet jacks) moving material throughout the warehouse.
