Key Responsibilities
- Inpatient responsibilities such as rounding, writing orders, patient assessment, patient education, care coordination, disease management, ICU specific procedures once privileged, and discharge activities
- Closing collaboration with general surgeons, sub-specialty surgeons, emergency medicine physicians, consultants, intensivists, trainees, and hospital staff
- Professional interaction with consultant teams, referring physicians and staff, emergency medical personnel and primary care providers is essential
- Provide care to patients primarily in the intensive care unit but may be responsible for assessing patients in inpatient wards, acute care areas, emergency department, and in the post anesthesia care units
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Masters degree in Acute Care Nursing and/or a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current Colorado license to practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse and/or Physician Assistant with prescriptive privileges.
- Maintains specific requirements of the Nursing Credential Review Board (Nurse Practitioner) and the Medical Review Board (Physician Assistant).
- Completion of a post-graduate APP fellowship or minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical experience
