STG - TORQUE TECHNICIAN/MACHINIST
Essential Functions
- Carry out technical bolting and joint integrity services in compliance with approved procedures.
- Plan, break-out, assemble, inspect, and diagnose faults and leaks.
- Document technical bolting service activities as required.
- Perform technical bolting services at client work sites.
- Use clicker wrenches, hydraulic torque wrenches, stud tensioners, bolt measurers, hydraulic nut splitters, perform bolt calculations, report joint integrity, identify materials, and inspect flanges and damaged mechanisms.
- Identify situations requiring proper safety procedures and equipment.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by adhering to safety standards and regulations.
- Work under time constraints and adverse conditions with poise and focus.
- Attend and complete required trainings.
- Pass drug/alcohol tests and background checks.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not involve supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment
The job operates in a petrochemical/refinery environment. Exposure to cold and hot working conditions, noise, hazardous chemicals, and confined spaces is possible. Employees must wear protective hearing equipment, respirators, and comply with safety standards.
Physical Demands
- Bend, stoop, walk, climb, squat, reach, kneel, push/pull, stand, sit, lift up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift more than 50 pounds.
- Work in confined spaces, at heights, and climb ladders/stairways/platforms.
- Move objects in various directions.
- See, read, write, and understand communication.
- Operate pedals, foot controls, and kick bars.
- Grasp, grip, and apply pressure to objects.
- Lift, raise, lower, pull, reach, and move objects.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a project-based position with variable/ project-dependent typical days and hours of work. Over-time work is common and may be required.
Travel
Extensive travel throughout the U.S. and overnight stays for extended periods of time are expected.
