ETS - TORQUE TECHNICIAN/MACHINIST

Essential Functions

• Carry out technical bolting and joint integrity services as per approved procedures.
• Document technical bolting service activities as required.
• Perform technical bolting services at client work sites.
• Execute torque operations using clicker wrenches, hydraulic torque wrenches, stud tensioners, bolt measurers, hydraulic nut splitters, and perform bolt load calculations.
• Conduct fault and leak diagnosis.
• Identify situations requiring adherence to safety protocols and equipment.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment by following safety standards and regulations.
• Operate with poise and focus under time constraints and adverse conditions.
• Attend and complete required trainings.
• Pass all necessary drug/alcohol tests and background checks.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not involve supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

The job operates in a petrochemical/refinery environment. Exposure to cold and hot working conditions, noise, hazardous chemicals, and confined spaces is possible. Employees must adhere to safety standards and regulations, and wear protective equipment as required.

Physical Demands

The position requires frequent bending, stooping, walking, climbing, squatting, reaching, kneeling, pushing/pulling, standing, sitting, hand strength and dexterity. Lifting up to 50 pounds is common, and occasional lifting of heavier items may be required. Must be able to work in confined spaces, at heights, and on ladders and scaffolding.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a project-based position with variable/ project-dependent typical days and hours of work. Over-time work is common and may be required.

Travel

Extensive travel throughout the U.S. and overnight stays for extended periods are expected.
