Steward (On-call) | JW Marriott Reston Station

About the role

Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking an exceptional Steward for the JW Marriott Reston Station. Located in a stunning 28-story landmark overlooking Reston Row, this hotel offers luxurious accommodations and a vibrant urban setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of all areas of the dishroom, kitchen aisle, and dock area.
• BREAK DOWN TRAYS, SET UP DISH MACHINE, WASH DISHWARE, AND SORT AND STORE ALL CLEAN CHINA, GLASS AND SILVER USING PROPER PROCEDURES.
• EMPTY TRASHCANS AND WASH INSIDE AND OUTSIDE.
• THOROUGHLY CLEAN DOCK AREA AND DWARF.
• BREAK DOWN DISH MACHINE AND CLEAN INSIDE AND OUTSIDE.
• CLEAN ALL BREAKDOWN TABLES.
• CLEAN TILE WALLS AND BASEBOARDS.
• PERFORM ANY OTHER JOB RELATED DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

Requirements

• Must have the ability to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Communicate well with guests.
• Willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a hospitality or food service environment preferred.

Skills

• Attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Customer service orientation.
