On-Call Steward

About the role

Mandarin Oriental, Boston is seeking an On-Call Steward to join our Food and Beverage team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position, with a preference for luxury hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Washing all hotel china, silverware, glassware, service ware, and cookware
• Ensuring cleanliness of all food service serving pieces and related cookware and tools
• Maintaining the cleanliness of Food and Beverage equipment and areas
• Sorting of food and beverage waste into proper streams for disposal, recycling, and composting
• Transporting food, dishes, glasses, silverware, and serving pieces throughout the hotel facility as instructed
• Knowledge of proper food safety and sanitation rules and guidelines
• Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years in a similar position, luxury hospitality strongly preferred
• Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language
• Ability to walk and stand for entirety of shift
• Ability to regularly lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds
• Flexible scheduling availability to include on-call shifts in the evenings, weekends, and holidays

Pay

The hourly rate of pay for this position is $33.07.
