Sterile Processing Technician
Job Summary and Responsibilities
You will be a critical guardian of patient safety, ensuring surgical teams receive correct, fully functional, and sterile instrumentation. Every day, you will expertly perform decontamination, prep and pack, sterilization, and dispatch with efficiency, expertise, and accuracy, delivering instruments with resourcefulness, determination, courtesy, and professionalism.
- Expertly perform decontamination, prep and pack, sterilization, and dispatch with efficiency, expertise, and accuracy.
- Expand your knowledge of standards and procedures for surgical instrumentation.
- Possess exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a rigorous commitment to infection control.
- Collect all used instruments throughout the institution for sterilization.
- Demonstrate correct process for decontaminating all instrumentation.
- Demonstrate correct assembling of instrument sets and wraps for sterilization.
- Demonstrate correct packing of instruments in peel-packs.
- Demonstrate correct sterilization procedures for different types of instrumentation.
- Ensure sets are complete according to type of surgery scheduled.
Job Requirements
- Required High school graduate or equivalent
- Two years experience or training in Sterile Processing

Pay Range
$27.96 - $27.96 /hour
