Sterile Processing Technician
About the role
The Sterile Processing Technician at Surgery Center at Jensen Beach is responsible for maintaining and caring for all surgical instruments, preparing supplies and instruments for surgery cases.
Responsibilities
- Maintains and cares for all surgical instruments
- Prepares supplies and instruments for surgery cases
Qualifications
- Must be a Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of 1-2 years of Sterile Processing experience
- Completion of a Sterile Process Certification program is preferred
- Experience with all types of sterilizers
- Knowledge of operating room instrumentation and procedures
- Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions of the patient when needed
