Responsibilities
- Manages individuals including but not limited to: Assist as needed with interviews, assigns duties, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans.
- Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
- Collaborates with other departments to ensure the appropriate professional standards are consistently applied.
- Assists or manages the operations of unit services and integration with other departments.
- Provides input and may create effective work plans that include identifying the correct resources, processes, and space needed for the work unit.
- Maintains a prioritized board to assure proper instruments are being addressed and made available.
Requirements
- Must be a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST).
- Full-time and BenefitsShift - Primary hours Monday thru Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm. Two Holidays a year.
- The position however requires flexibility on hours worked.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience: 2-5 years Supervisor Experience.
- Licenses & Certifications: CRCST.
Skills
- Problem solving equipment issues.
- Works as high functioning member of a team supporting clinics, procedural areas and over 65 operating rooms and clinics spread over a large campus.
- Oversees production of complex tray configurations for variety of services including ophthalmology, neurosurgery, ENT, trauma, transplant, cardiac, orthopedic, labor and delivery, fetal surgery, general surgery, minimally invasive and robotic cases and supports level 1 trauma center.
- Supervises a variety of functions which include decontamination, preparation, sterilization and distribution of sterile surgical instrumentation and supplies.
- Supervises case cart build for “just in time” supply and instrumentation delivery to the operating rooms.
- Provides cleaning and sterilization support for research related and IRB approved instrumentation.
- Oversees all decontamination and high level disinfection for flexible endoscopes.
