About the role

Medicap Pharmacy and Compounding Center is an independent retail and compounding pharmacy seeking a full-time Certified Compounding Pharmacy Technician.

Responsibilities

• Compounding of sterile and non-sterile medications
• Performing aseptic technique
• Performing non-sterile compounding
• Working as a team
• Laboratory cleaning duties
• Inventory & equipment management
• Compliance with USP guidelines
• Following Iowa State Board of Pharmacy and accreditation standards
• Proactive listening and effective speaking
• Actively searching for ways to assist
• Good decision-making and problem-solving ability
• Strong teaching skills
• Adequate reading comprehension to understand work-related documents
• Knowledge of mathematics to solve problems
• Effective time management skills
• Good knowledge of learning strategies to select and use instructional methods
• Effective communication skills in writing
• Able to stand for very long times
• Able to follow written and oral instructions effectively
• Strong interpersonal and people skills

Qualifications and Skills

• Certified pharmacy technician registered in the state of Iowa
• Previous non-sterile or sterile compounding experience is a plus!
