Responsibilities and Duties
- Compounding of sterile and non-sterile medications.
- Ability to perform aseptic technique.
- Ability to perform non-sterile compounding.
- Ability to work as a team.
- Lab cleaning duties.
- Inventory & equipment management.
- Compliance with USP guidelines.
- Following Iowa State Board of Pharmacy and accreditation standards.
- Proactive listener and effective speaker.
- Actively searching for ways to be of assistance.
- Good decision-making and problem-solving ability.
- Strong teaching skills.
- Effective reading comprehension to understand work-related documents.
- Knowledge of mathematics to solve problems.
- High effective time management skills.
- Good knowledge of learning strategies to select and use instructional methods.
- Effective communication skills in writing.
- Able to stand for very long times.
- Able to follow written and oral instructions effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and people skills.
Qualifications and Skills
- Certified pharmacy technician registered in the state of Iowa.
- Previous non-sterile or sterile compounding experience is a plus!
