STEPS Temporary Scholarship Application Readers

About the role

Department: Academic Scholarships. Work Location: Lexington, KY. Position: Temporary, Full-Time. Support needed October 2026 through February 2027 (approximately 20 weeks).

Responsibilities

• Support the undergraduate competitive scholarship selection process during peak admissions cycles.
• Conduct timely and accurate review of scholarship applications.
• Apply established review criteria to conduct holistic evaluations.
• Recommend candidates for advancement.
• Maintain high standards of productivity, consistency, and compliance with university guidelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience working in a higher education environment and understanding of scholarship, admissions, or student support processes.
• No specific license/registration/certification required.
• Physical requirement: ability to lift, push, or pull objects up to 25 lbs.

Qualifications

Preferred: Experience with financial aid, scholarships, and/or student services in a higher education setting, specifically at the University of Kentucky.

Pay

Salary: $30.00 (presumably per hour).

Schedule
