Position Summary

Provide temporary, seasonal support for undergraduate application review during peak admission cycles. Review and evaluate applications for undergraduate admission in accordance with University admission policies, procedures, and established review guidelines. Conduct holistic and consistent evaluations of applicants and recommend admission decisions.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review and assess undergraduate applications, including academic records, transcripts, application materials, essays, recommendations, and other relevant information.
  • Learn, understand, and consistently apply University admission policies, procedures, and application-review guidelines.
  • Conduct holistic reviews and recommend admission decisions in accordance with established University practices and parameters.
  • Meet established application-reading goals and deadlines while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail.
  • Participate in required training, calibration exercises, and periodic review of reading practices.
  • Identify and elevate complex, unusual, or challenging applications to the designated admission staff member for additional review.
  • Document application evaluations and recommendations accurately and completely in the University’s admission system.
  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of applicant information, University records, and internal admission procedures and practices.
  • Communicate promptly with the supervisor regarding questions, scheduling issues, or circumstances that may affect the timely completion of assigned reviews.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate complex information, exercise sound judgment, and make consistent recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet established productivity goals and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to follow established policies, procedures, and evaluation guidelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain the confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
  • Proficiency with technology and web-based applications and the ability to learn new systems.
  • Availability to work a minimum of 10 hours per week from October 2026 through January 2027.
  • Availability to attend a required full-day training session on Friday, October 2, 2026.
