Hourly pay rate: $15.00. Work schedule: 6 hours per week, 9 months per year. Off-campus location.
About the Role
STEM Education Apprentices will be placed with select classrooms, teachers, and/or community partners to assist with and experience public education in science and math. Duties vary by placement and may include assisting with labs, aiding classroom instruction, one-on-one tutoring, co-planning, assessment, or other needed tasks.
Must be a Weber State student; preference given to students with interest in math or science education, teaching majors, or the Propel program (weber.edu/propel).
Requirements
- Demonstrated interest and background in science or mathematics.
- Preference for those considering careers in science or math teaching (not required to be a declared teaching major).
- Propel teacher interns may also participate in planning meetings and other science and math education events.
