About the role

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join our dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing a diverse range of vehicles, ensuring they meet our high standards.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, air conditioning, and electrical systems.

  • Perform comprehensive scheduled maintenance services and execute factory recall campaigns.

  • Document all services performed and communicate findings to the Service Advisor.

  • Work collaboratively with fellow technicians, parts team members, and service advisors to ensure a smooth workflow.

  • Stay updated with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques through training and certification programs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as an Automotive Technician in a dealership or reputable independent shop.

  • Foundation knowledge of automotive systems, including engine, transmission, brakes, and tires.

  • Familiarity with a wide range of vehicle makes and models is a plus.

  • ASE certifications are highly preferred, with a focus on areas relevant to your specialization.

  • OEM-specific training and certifications are a significant plus.

  • Proven ability to diagnose and repair complex automotive issues.

  • Expertise in using diagnostic software and specialized tools.

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

  • Excellent communication and time management skills.

  • A strong commitment to quality and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.

  • Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools - must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Must have a valid driver's license.

  • A clean driving record with no more than two moving violations or DUI’s in the last three years.

  • The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.

  • May be required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials.

  • May be required to work overtime and weekends.

  • Frequent standing and sitting with varying periods of each.

  • May at times require working different shifts.

  • Lift up to 60 pounds frequently.

  • Walk up to three miles each day.
