About the role
We are seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join our dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing a diverse range of vehicles, ensuring they meet our high standards.
Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, air conditioning, and electrical systems.
Perform comprehensive scheduled maintenance services and execute factory recall campaigns.
Document all services performed and communicate findings to the Service Advisor.
Work collaboratively with fellow technicians, parts team members, and service advisors to ensure a smooth workflow.
Stay updated with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques through training and certification programs.
Requirements
5+ years of experience as an Automotive Technician in a dealership or reputable independent shop.
Foundation knowledge of automotive systems, including engine, transmission, brakes, and tires.
Familiarity with a wide range of vehicle makes and models is a plus.
ASE certifications are highly preferred, with a focus on areas relevant to your specialization.
OEM-specific training and certifications are a significant plus.
Proven ability to diagnose and repair complex automotive issues.
Expertise in using diagnostic software and specialized tools.
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and time management skills.
A strong commitment to quality and attention to detail.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools - must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
Qualifications
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have a valid driver's license.
A clean driving record with no more than two moving violations or DUI’s in the last three years.
The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
May be required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials.
May be required to work overtime and weekends.
Frequent standing and sitting with varying periods of each.
May at times require working different shifts.
Lift up to 60 pounds frequently.
Walk up to three miles each day.
