Position Summary
This position will work with our guest services department in providing exceptional hospitality to our guests and owners. This position is integral in delivering a pleasant, positive and memorable vacation experience to visitors by being professional, courteous, and helpful.
Essential Duties
- Greets, registers, and gives directions to guests/owners. Issues residence key and escort instructions to Bell/Shuttle.
- Understands Resort's utilized software & reservation system to be able to post monetary transactions, check in/ check-out guest, and make walk-in reservations.
- Handle multiple phone lines including routing them to other departments.
- Serve as the liaison between the various departments to ensure communication lines are efficient and effective.
- Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Track and Breezeway.
- 2 years of previous work history/education required
- Communicate clearly in English, both verbal / non-verbal, and written
- Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski and Resort Company's Service Excellence standards
Education Requirements
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Pay
Steamboat Resort hourly pay range: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
Physical Requirements
- Must be a minimum 18 years of age
- The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
- Must be able to sit, stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
- Must be able to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell.
