About the Role

The Steakhouse Host is responsible for greeting and seating guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner. The Host manages the flow of reservations to ensure an exceptional dining experience while living, supporting, and promoting the values of Graton Resort & Casino.

Responsibilities

• Greet all guests promptly, warmly, and professionally upon arrival.
• Manage reservations, waitlists, and walk-in guests using OpenTable.
• Escort guests to their tables, present menus, and explain daily specials if needed.
• Follow the steps of service as outlined by the department on a consistent basis.
• Maintain an organized and clean host stand, lobby, and entrance area at all times.
• Communicate wait times clearly and accurately to guests.
• Monitor dining room flow and seat guests in a balanced manner for server sections.
• Answer the telephone promptly and professionally; assist with guest inquiries and requests.
• Work closely with the management team and service staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.
• Follow all company, departmental, and health and safety policies and procedures.
• Perform opening, closing, and side duties as assigned by management.
• Promote and maintain a positive and cooperative team environment.
• Maintain a polished, professional appearance in compliance with grooming standards.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Experience with reservation systems, preferably OpenTable.
• Ability to perform duties in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.
