STC-HT Program Specialist
About the role
Structure the schedule of activities for the Literacy, Enrichment and Healthy Choices Block, work with literacy staff to organize children into groups based on grade levels and reading levels, and support small groups of students during literacy, Enrichment and Healthy Choices components.
Communicate regularly with Save the Children Lead Associate, assist school staff in administrating I-Ready testing if needed, and conduct at least three family engagement events during the program year to address key Family Engagement strategies.
Communicate, support, and work on a daily basis with Program Director, work with school personnel to identify struggling readers who would benefit from small group support, and record daily program attendance in SCORE.
Complete all required Save the Children Child Safeguarding trainings.
What We Offer
Salary: $23.77 - $28.03 per hour (depending on experience), M/D/V insurance, Life insurance, Retirement benefits, Paid sick leave and Paid time off and/or vacation.
Working days: 5 days per week, Hours per day: 8 hours, Temporary for the 2026-2027 school year.
What You'll Need
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, Experience: Job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is desired.
Licenses/Certificates/Registration: CPR/First Aid Certificate, Minimum qualifications: Operating standard office equipment including pertinent software applications, preparing and maintaining accurate records, performing basic bookkeeping, business telephone etiquette, knowledge of office methods and practices, ability to adapt to changing work priorities, communicating with diverse groups, work as part of a team.

Work Environment
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, some climbing and balancing, significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity.
Generally the job requires 5% sitting, 75% walking, and 20% standing. The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and under conditions with some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness.
