STB - PATIENT CARE TECH TRAINEE -MEDICAL CENTER

JOB SUMMARY

Variants of shifts available. After completing the St. Bernards PCT Trainee program, responsible for performing assigned patient care activities and assisting licensed nursing personnel. Under the direct supervision of the Patient Care Manager or designee, responsible for assigned areas. Incumbents are subject to overtime and call-backs as required by the facility.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Educational requirements: Official completion of high school or its equivalent.
• Skills and proficiency: Oral and written grammar, communication, and basic mathematics.
• Training and experience: Completion of the St. Bernards PCT Trainee program.
• Patient care knowledge: Practices and related activities, hospital policies and procedures, and basic non-technical skills acquired through on-the-job training.
• Physical requirements: Safety-sensitive position, exposure to biological hazards, unpleasant fumes and odors, close eye work, hearing within normal and soft tones, distinguishing smells, temperatures by touch and proximity, lifting up to 100 lbs., carrying up to 40 lbs., pushing/pulling up to 350 lbs., frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.
