Overview

Sentara is hiring a Patient Care Technician at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital in Virginia Beach.

Department/Position Overview

Join the upbeat and fun team on the 4D Unit! The patient ratio is generally 1 PCT to 8-12 patients. Excellent patient care is expected.

Education

  • American Health Associate BLS Certification required within 90 days of hire.
  • One of the following certifications/licenses:
    • Sentara Care Partner Certification Program
    • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
    • National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
    • National Patient Care Technician (NCPCT)
    • Completion of US Navy Hospital Corps School
    • Emergency Services to include EMR, EMS, EMT, AEMT and Paramedic
    • Current student enrolled in a clinical program (beyond prerequisites) having completed at least one semester of RN, LPN, RT or PT
    • Current work experience within last three years as a PCT or Nursing Assistant

Experience

One year of prior health care experience preferred.
