Core Responsibilities
- Equipment Operation: Start, regulate, and shut down turbines, and auxiliary equipment like pumps, compressors, and chillers.
- Maintaining & Repair: Perform preventative maintenance, lubricate moving parts, and execute Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures for safe repairs and annual inspections.
- Monitoring & Control: Track meters, charts, and computer systems to maintain optimal system efficiency.
- Documentation: Maintain precise logs of daily operations, instrument readings, maintenance activities, and malfunctions.
Typical Requirements
- Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED coupled with an apprenticeship, trade school, or 3 to 8 years of equivalent experience.
- Licensing: A current State of Ohio Stationary Steam Engineer license.
Physical & Environment
- Frequently work in confined spaces, at heights, and around high temperatures or loud noise.
- Must be capable of lifting heavy objects.
