About the role
A caregiver in this roll with work 2nd shift (2:30pm to 11:00pm) on a rotational schedule. Caregivers may be scheduled to work weekends and holidays based on their schedule rotation.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, operate and maintain a high pressure/steam powerhouse, HVAC systems and emergency power and fire protection systems.
- Monitor and maintain HVAC-related source and distribution equipment such as steam, chilled water, water chemistry, humidification, air handling, etc.
- Monitor and respond to all fire protection systems.
- Respond to all emergency calls.
- Test and monitor emergency generators and transfer equipment.
- Work at other Cleveland Clinic facilities as needed.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Third Class Stationary Engineers License from the State of Ohio.
- Military experience as a Machinists Mate (MM), Electric Power Production (3E0X2) or a similar role will be considered.
- Knowledge in one or more of the following areas: steam distribution systems, condensate systems, large chiller systems, water distribution systems, cooling towers and air handling systems.
- Working knowledge of blueprints and electrical schematics.
