Summary

Operates, inspects, maintains all boiler, heating, steam hot water, ventilating, water treatment equipment, refrigeration and air conditioning equipment and systems of the hospital and its complex.

Responsibilities

• Operates, inspects, and maintains boiler, heating, steam hot water, ventilating, water treatment equipment, refrigeration and air conditioning equipment and systems

Education

• High school diploma or trade school graduate or equivalent education
• Valid NYS driver's license
• 1st Class Stationary Engineers license

Experience

• Three (3) years power house experience
• Three (3) years refrigeration and air conditioning experience

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability

• Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, schedule forms or blueprints

Working Conditions

• Frequent exposure to many disagreeable physical conditions
• Occasionally works in outside weather conditions
