State and Local Tax Senior Associate or Supervisor - Income & Franchise Tax
About the role
The Weaver State and Local Tax team is seeking Income & Franchise Tax Senior Associates or Supervisors to join their growing practice. This role involves providing tax compliance and consulting services specific to state and local taxes, including income and franchise tax.
Responsibilities
- Identify complex tax issues and provide tax analysis for a variety of entities and their affiliates.
- Work on various Income & Franchise tax returns, complex Income & Franchise tax audits, and prepare complex tax research projects for clients in diverse industries.
- Manage multiple concurrent assignments of varying sizes and complexities.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate effectively with clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Team orientation and strong interpersonal skills.
- CPA candidate or pursuing the CMA.
- 2+ years of experience in public accounting or industry.
- Experience preparing income & franchise tax audit and refund schedules, and preparing multi-state income tax returns including Texas Franchise Tax returns.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- Strong project management skills.
- CPA or CMA.
