About the role
The Weaver State and Local Tax team is seeking Income & Franchise Tax Senior Associates or Supervisors to join their growing practice. This role involves providing tax compliance and consulting services specific to state and local taxes, including income and franchise tax. Responsibilities include working on various Income & Franchise tax returns, complex Income & Franchise tax audits, and preparing complex tax research projects for clients in diverse industries.
Responsibilities
- Identify complex tax issues and provide tax analysis for a variety of entities and their affiliates.
- Work on various Income & Franchise tax returns.
- Prepare complex tax research projects for clients in diverse industries.
- Conduct complex Income & Franchise tax audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- CPA candidate or pursuing the CMI.
- 2+ years of experience in public accounting or industry.
- Experience preparing income & franchise tax audit and refund schedules, and preparing multi-state income tax returns including Texas Franchise Tax returns.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
- Strong project management skills preferred.
- CPA or CMI preferred.

- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments of varying sizes and complexity.

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
