Stamping Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily stamping operations to meet safety, quality, productivity, and delivery goals.
  • Optimize stamping processes and troubleshoot tooling, equipment, and production issues.
  • Apply tool and die knowledge to identify problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Partner with Engineering and Design teams to improve dies, tooling, and manufacturing processes.
  • Lead SMED initiatives to reduce die changeover time and improve production efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce waste, inventory, and work in process through continuous improvement.
  • Develop and oversee preventive maintenance programs for stamping equipment and tooling.
  • Monitor production metrics and use data to drive operational improvements.
  • Lead manufacturing improvement projects from planning through implementation.
  • Develop project plans, coordinate resources, and track schedules, budgets, and results.
  • Cook off regular feedback, goal setting, and performance management.
  • Cook off team meetings and promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and servant leadership.
  • Cook off with Engineering, Quality, Safety, Tool Room, Maintenance, and other technical teams.
  • Establish annual goals aligned with operational and production metrics.
  • Support employee relations matters and work with Union Stewards regarding contract and disciplinary issues.
  • Promote safe work practices and compliance with manufacturing and safety standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in stamping or manufacturing, including leadership and process optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of tool and die principles and practices.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing SMED and manufacturing process improvement initiatives.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, mentor, and develop manufacturing teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to flex work hours and support operational needs across multiple shifts and days when required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a medium- or high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with stamping production and die changeovers.
  • Experience developing or managing preventive maintenance programs.
  • Experience working with cross-functional manufacturing teams.
  • Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment.

Pay

Details will be provided during the hiring process.

Schedule

1st Shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM–3:00 PM

Flexibility to support other shifts and days, including weekends, as needed.

Occasional Friday overtime may be required.
