Responsibilities
- Follows work instructions and oral direction.
- Operates, troubleshoots, and optimizes machine processes to reduce scrap, cycle times, and changeover times.
- Coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure good production and quality.
- Uses part weights and metals data for a systematic approach to improve process performance.
- Writes technical reports describing system, component, and part operating characteristics and malfunctions.
- Performs start-up and shutdown processes on the presses.
- Compiles and documents production data, communicates issues with Maintenance, Quality, and Supervisors.
- Performs end-of-arm set-ups and modifications of robots as required.
- Oversees in-house tooling and material evaluations to ensure compliance with ISO/TS16949:2002, ISO14001:2004, and OSHA standards.
- Maintains ISO/TS16949:2002, ISO14001:2004, and OSHA compliance within the manufacturing discipline.
- Aids in the provision of a safe and clean work environment by participating in the safety process, including conducting internal safety audits, investigating accidents, and communicating safety-related information.
Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Knowledge of TPO’s/ABS/PC’s, industrial equipment electrical troubleshooting and installation.
- Programming experience, including PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Responsibility to aid in the provision of a safe and clean work environment by participating in the safety process.
