Staffing Response Coordinator

Responsibilities

  • Identifies, coordinates and assigns all available staffing resources for clinical units across the system
  • Ensures that all clinical units are adequately staffing according to patient census and acuity by providing continuous monitoring of staff resource
  • Participates in daily huddles to understand staffing needs at each entity
  • Proactively identifies and monitors resource availability, conflicts and shortages
  • Works with Staffing Response Team leadership to adjust staffing according to predetermined guidelines
  • Works continuously with available staff to fill open shifts and balance with existing work schedules
  • Analyzes and challenges staffing requests against key engagement metrics to ensure appropriate allocation of resources
  • Prepares relevant resourcing reports and analyzes for trends
  • Identifies and implements improvements in practices, processes and reporting
  • General administrative and other related duties – data entry, timesheet monitoring, etc.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Associate’s degree in Business, Healthcare or Related Field preferred
  • Licensure/Certification Requirements: Not applicable
  • Professional Experience Requirements: One (1) year of clerical or administrative experience

  • Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements: Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels; Strong conflict resolution and negotiating skills to balance individual and business needs; Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task, plan and prioritize workload; Knowledge of the type of patient care provided in various units throughout the hospital; Ability to determine appropriate course of action in more complex situations and when to escalate issues to leader

Other Information

  • Schedule: Candidate must be available to work onsite for a minimum of three shifts per week, hours 8:00am to 8:00pm.
