Staffing Response Coordinator

Responsibilities
- Identifies, coordinates and assigns all available staffing resources for clinical units across the system
- Ensures that all clinical units are adequately staffing according to patient census and acuity by providing continuous monitoring of staff resource
- Participates in daily huddles to understand staffing needs at each entity
- Proactively identifies and monitors resource availability, conflicts and shortages
- Works with Staffing Response Team leadership to adjust staffing according to predetermined guidelines
- Works continuously with available staff to fill open shifts and balance with existing work schedules
- Analyzes and challenges staffing requests against key engagement metrics to ensure appropriate allocation of resources
- Prepares relevant resourcing reports and analyzes for trends
- Identifies and implements improvements in practices, processes and reporting
- General administrative and other related duties – data entry, timesheet monitoring, etc.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required
- Associate’s degree in Business, Healthcare or Related Field preferred
- Licensure/Certification Requirements: Not applicable
- Professional Experience Requirements: One (1) year of clerical or administrative experience

- Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements: Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels; Strong conflict resolution and negotiating skills to balance individual and business needs; Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task, plan and prioritize workload; Knowledge of the type of patient care provided in various units throughout the hospital; Ability to determine appropriate course of action in more complex situations and when to escalate issues to leader
Other Information
- Schedule: Candidate must be available to work onsite for a minimum of three shifts per week, hours 8:00am to 8:00pm.
