STAFFING COORDINATOR/SCHEUDLING SPECIALIST
Responsibilities
The Staffing Coordinator works with CNO, Nursing Managers, and Supervisors to ensure appropriate staffing of the nursing units on a daily basis. They look ahead to fill vacant shifts and monitor staffing to patient ratios, taking into account census, acuity, staff orientation, and related data points. They manage staffing schedules to minimize overtime, prepare nursing staffing schedules, generate daily reports related to staffing, staffing sheets, and related staff reporting. They maintain copies of schedules and shift assignments as required by licensing agencies. They assist the CNO/UNM with daily supervisory needs when on shift, carry the supervisor phone, communicate call-outs and staffing changes to the CNO and ICN as needed, assist with admissions and discharges, maintain a hospital bed board status sheet, respond to crisis calls on units, and assist with milieu management as needed.
Requirements
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or Equivalent; degree in human services field preferred
- Two (2) years experience in staffing/scheduling, within a hospital setting
- Two (2) years experience creating and maintaining staff schedules
- Experience with position control
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Outlook and Excel
- Experience utilizing scheduling software/apps
- Excellent organizational and problem solving skills

Pay
Full-time; 40 hours per week. Monday thru Friday 7am-3:30pm.
