Responsibilities
- Completes master schedules for each nursing unit one month in advance.
- Completes daily staffing sheets and posts.
- Maintains nursing roster.
- Records employee response when called into work.
- Oversees timely and accurate maintenance of Kronos records.
- Maintains position control for staffing and listing of all vacant positions.
- Maintains weekly staffing grid.
- Oversees and trains employees on MyTime Select and programs profiles.
- Maintains and oversees the interface of MyTime Select with attendance records.
- Oversees the resource pool and allocates staff according to daily needs using judgement on deploying and re-deploying staff.
- Provides staffing coverage when employees call in ill, etc.
- Works with individual managers to provide coverage for vacations, personal holidays, extended sicknesses or leave of absences.
- Aids in staffing coverage during orientation for new employees or employees who are off work for various leaves.
- Finds coverage for shift administrator PTO requests.
- Maintains the administrative calendar.
- Delegates assignments to afternoon, midnight and weekend staff.
- Maintains a list of holidays worked by each employee and record of all HR's (human resource time off) given.
- Maintains educational records for staff and other records for licensed staff.
- Covers for shift administrator PTO requests.
- Coordinates all paperwork with Employee Health, Human Resources, Risk Management and Pay Management for absences and leaves, PTO/Funeral/other requests, payroll corrections and other pay management items.
- Aids in coordinating activities involving the morgue (in accordance with applicable policies) including and involving as appropriate the Lab, Medical Examiner, morticians and all necessary releases pertaining to expired patients.
Qualifications
- Education: High Equivalent
- Experience: Associate's degree in secretarial services preferred.

- Exposure to stressful situations, including those involving public contact, as well as, trauma, grief and death.
- Able to wear personal protective equipment that includes latex materials or appropriate substitute if required for your position.
- Must be able to occasionally (0-33% of the workday) lift or carry 0-10 lbs.
