Staffing Coordinator / Scheduler

The Meadows of Central Massachusetts is an 82-bed transitional care facility located alongside Vibra Hospital of Western Massachusetts – Central Campus. The Meadows provides comprehensive skilled nursing and rehabilitation services for individuals in need of specialized medical care before they can return home or to another care setting. Many patients have suffered serious injuries or illnesses and require day-to-day help while working toward recovery and regaining independence. Our approach incorporates therapeutic intervention and medical management, specializing in short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, and respite care services.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all unit staffing plans, assess staffing needs, and schedule nursing personnel hours.
• Adjust staffing as required and call in replacement personnel at the discretion of nursing leadership.
• Assist with various human resources forms and processes, including status changes, new hire forms, requisitions, arranging follow-up interviews with applicants, and tracking evaluations and absences.
• Perform timecard edits and run appropriate time and attendance reports.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Skills

• Experience in scheduling and time and attendance tracking preferred.
• Previous administrative experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
• Ability to project a professional image.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
• Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
