Staffing Coordinator- Part-Time, Rotate

About the role

This position is a 100% onsite opportunity at UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial Hospital. The position is based in the greater Chicagoland area.

Responsibilities

• Appeals staff allocation, adhering to union and time-sensitive requirements
• Maintains oversight of SRO performance, including daily improvements, audit of agency timecards, sick logs, and staffing updates
• Serves as a liaison between MSP (Temporary Agencies) to ensure appropriate and timely usage
• Approves agency time and attendance
• Communicates staffing concerns, updates, changes, and issues following established standards
• Facilitates problem resolution for staff and leadership
• Reviews issues and works towards solutions

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong customer service, organizational, written communication, and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent interpersonal skills for interaction with various internal departments, external vendors, staff, and leadership
• Foster a positive working environment
• Exercise judgment, make independent decisions, and assume responsibility
• Learn new systems and office equipment
• Handle large volumes of work expeditiously, meet deadlines, and work under pressure
• Professional demeanor, ability to work independently and as part of an effective team, and take initiative in completing tasks

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a health-care related field preferred
• One to two years staffing experience and two to three years progressively responsible administrative experience in an academic or hospital environment
• Familiarity with scheduling and acuity information systems

Skills

• Knowledge or familiarity of medical terminology
