Staffing Coordinator - Nursing

Role Overview: The staffing coordinator supports patient care units by managing staffing requests, allocating resources, and ensuring appropriate nurse coverage. They collaborate with charge RNs to meet staffing needs, analyze staffing trends to optimize balance, and communicate with staff regarding absences and availability. Additionally, they assist in orienting nurse managers and staff to staffing procedures. Qualifications & Skills: A high school diploma or GED is required, with preferred experience in inpatient care or support roles. Effective verbal and written communication skills, along with proficient computer skills, are essential for success in this role. Key Responsibilities Receive and process staffing requests, allocate resources based on patient needs.Review staffing reports and collaborate with nursing staff to meet requirements.Monitor staffing patterns and trends, addressing gaps by contacting staff for availability or absences.Assist in orientation of staff to staffing policies and procedures.
