Staffing Coordinator I
About the Role
As a Staffing Coordinator I, you will optimize staffing levels across departments to ensure adequate coverage and operational efficiency. You will schedule personnel, process staffing requests, manage call-outs, and communicate effectively with staff and management regarding assignments and availability. Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail in scheduling, and excellent communication are crucial for maintaining optimal workforce deployment and service continuity.
Responsibilities
- Perform staffing functions for nursing departments.
- Receive 7-3 staffing reports from night Patient Care Supervisors.
- Review and plan staffing coverage needs on a daily and weekly basis.
- Print daily staffing sheets.
- Consult with Nursing Directors and/or Patient Care Supervisors regarding unsolved staffing decisions.
- Ensure staffing sheets are updated from previous shifts daily.
- Communicate staffing concerns (e.g., late, sick calls, family emergencies) to Nursing Directors in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Strong secretarial and/or administrative background.
Qualifications
- One to two years of previous acute care experience (preferred).
- Previous hospital experience and/or medical terminology (preferred).

Pay
$26.76 - $39.81 per hour.
