About the Role

As a Staffing Coordinator I, you will optimize staffing levels across departments to ensure adequate coverage and operational efficiency. You will schedule personnel, process staffing requests, manage call-outs, and communicate effectively with staff and management regarding assignments and availability.

This role performs staffing functions for nursing departments, including receiving the 7-3 staffing report from night Patient Care Supervisors, reviewing and planning daily and weekly staffing coverage needs, and printing daily staffing sheets. You will consult with Nursing Directors and/or Patient Care Supervisors on unsolved staffing decisions, ensure staffing sheets are updated from previous shifts, and communicate staffing concerns such as late, sick calls, or family emergencies to Nursing Directors.

Responsibilities

  • Print daily staffing sheets.
  • Consult with Nursing Directors and/or Patient Care Supervisors regarding unsolved staffing decisions.
  • Ensure staffing sheets are updated from previous shifts on a daily basis.
  • Communicate staffing concerns (e.g., late, sick calls, family emergencies) to Nursing Directors in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Strong secretarial and/or administrative background (required).
  • One to two years of previous acute care experience (preferred).
  • Previous hospital experience and/or knowledge of medical terminology (preferred).

Pay

$26.76 - $39.81 per hour.
