KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Staffing for all nursing personnel (RN, LVN, CMA, CNAs)
- Process applications for all positions
- Schedule and conduct interviews with qualified applicants/candidates
- Complete new hire reference checks, license/certification verifications
- Review staffing routinely and adjust based on census
- Conduct clinical portion of the new hire orientation
- Conduct drug testing of all new hires
- Maintain attendance records, excused/unexcused absences
- Set up, track and log attendance for all State mandated In-services and In-services as required by Administrator and DON
- Annual Proficiency Testing for Certified Nurse Aides
- May Participate in assessment and evaluation of nursing staff
- Maintain copies and track nurse and nurse aide licenses
- Track, audit and administer TB tests, Flu Shots, etc. for Residents and Employees
Job Requirements
- Current, valid certification as a CNA or CMA is required.
- Previous experience in a nursing home or home health setting providing care to geriatric-age patients
- Previous scheduling experience required; UKG experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills needed
- Strong written and verbal skills required
